It's been far too long since I updated this journal, once again I suppose. Nothing terribly exciting has happened, only less than cheery things as per usual. The only thing I'm looking forward to is the first -or should I say second?- update for Red Dog Venue. Nearly done with the fourth page, and so I hope that I'll be able to complete the fifth page before this month ends. My progress is faster than I had ever hoped for.

I've finally gotten my hands on Kingdom Hearts Two, also.

--Some slight spoilers ahead--

Truth be told, at first I absolutely hated the game. The story progression was slow, and I loathed the fact that I had to play some new kid (Roxas) who appears to be in a fashion slump instead of the good old Sora, not to mention most of the music was terrible. But although the music is still not quite as pleasant (too repetitive and simplistic), and the progression of the story is still very slow, I'm glad I kept at it. Sora is as adorable as ever, if not more so. I think his characteristics are showing even more in the second game than in the first, and all the new commands in battles are an excellent and exciting touch. There is a lot more to do in the second game, which is grand as in the first game, I constantly returned to worlds in hopes of finding additional things to do.

There's a nice balance between old characters returning, and "new" ones being introduced, plus the storyline has deepend, is more in depth. Although I'm not too partial to the whole love-theme that's been going on thus far, and will undoubtedly continue (but that's Disney for you). Personally I don't think there's any chemistry between Sora and Kairi, but that might just me.

Sephiroth has made a comeback, and frankly he looks strange (that stick was most likely further wedged up his ass). His voice is shit too (and so is Aeris' for that matter), not that I liked his voice in the first game any better. Leon (Squall) looks nice in the second game, and I find myself actually LIKING him, which is odd considering all I wanted to do was to repeatedly bash Squall's head against a wall in Final Fantasy 8.
That aside, I very much disliked Port Royal, and Atlantica was just ridiculous with the whole singing thing, but I'm glad I didn't have to fight under water again, because that was just irritating in the first game.

I haven't taken the time to explore the whole Gummi ship part aside from what I'm forced to in the game, because I don't like the way it's been designed in KHII. I'm playing Kingdom Hearts, not some weird arcade space game, thank you. Plus the music. Oh gods, someone stab me in the ears - what an offense. I want to charge the composer with assault and battery.

The game I haven't completed yet however, thus that is all I can really say about it so far, but I know I shall continue to wish Sora was real so that I could squish him. Because damn, he's cute.

I just finished watching Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children and honestly I'm not too sure what to think. The graphics were beautiful, for the most part (I think they got lazy with Red XIII though, among a few other things) and I liked the battle scenes even if they went by a little too quickly for my liking. What bothered me was, as good as some of the music is, they didn't even bother to synchronize it with the actual scenes that the music played to and it's the most obvious in the Cloud VS. Sephiroth battle, and the fact that the only faces that had some sort of distinction were Cid's and Barret's face. Cloud, Tifa, Reno, Yuffie, Rufus, Kadaj and his brothers, etc. - they all had the same facial structure, same nose, same lips, same eye shape and really I think they could have done better with that.
And...I'm sorry but Sephiroth looks terrible in AC. I really expected him to look at least a little more manly whereas his visage is concerned.

The plot was unfortunately thin, and in the game the characters seemed a lot more human than they did in Advent Children - as cool as their flying ability was and what not, it just didn't do much for me. Personally I think Advent Children was just a spur of the moment thing that someone came up with - no real thought behind it. At least, that's how it seems to me, but then I see faults in everything except for myself of course. *snerk* And yes, there was definitely TOO much fighting and too little story, but I guess that is to be expected of something that spawned off a game.

Writing drabbles is fun, and it gives me practice in keeping things short - who knew?

I'm considering having Paradigm of Plights just be a novel - it's pretty well written (all things considered) thus far, and in novel format already so.... Plus I don't think it'd make a very good comic in the first place, not to mention I'll get done faster if it stays in text and I believe I'll even upload it to FictionPress.com - should I?

I'm not dead yet. e_e All things considered. Just...occupied with things I'm keeping under wraps. I've realized that ranting about my projects tends to spoil my motivation to work for it.


Buhuh, my sketches are so bad. Granted this was ballpoint pen straight up - no sketching before hand.

My MM666 photobucket account was banned - I bet someone ratted me out or it was just a random check, but anything I had uploaded on it was removed. Apparently I violated their no nudity or sexual content terms, which I honestly don't remember were there. e_e But hell, where am I supposed to upload my buttporn now aside from y-hosting?

That is the project that I'm currently attempting to work on, a project that is appropriately titled Paradigm of Plights. Basically it follows the story of two particular serial killers - that's unfortunately all I'm willing to share about it, however. XD

Welp, this is what's got me so cranky for the most part. It's as close to perfection as possible and yet I can't seem to get it out of my mind and onto paper. Here is to hoping I'll get over whatever it is that's bugging me.

Had to put Death's Promenade aside because apparently my mind isn't ready for it yet (XP), but instead I'm working on something that I suppose is equally good, just not quite as complicated. It does however require me to use my brain, which is a painful experience. XP

Wait, no end yet! I have decided to rewrite Death's Promenade, hooray! *death* Why the hell is that a good thing? D: First script sucked; too many plot holes plus I had no idea how I was going to format the damn comic. So yah...*saunters off*

I just remembered something, completely out of the blue:

I used to live in Los Angeles, near Downtown; lived there for a few years.... Below a window in my room was a tiny balcony that I'd go out on whenever I was pissed. One night I woke up at random, and intended to go to the bathroom when I saw this figure (head and torso) outside my window, it was just a black silhouette though and I thought it was I who was just being a little delusional.
So I walked closer to inspect, and as it turns out that silhouette belonged to this HUGE six foot something negro trying to climb up the balcony into my room, which by the way was on the second story.
How he got up there I have yet to figure out. We just stared at each other for the longest of times, before the guy decided to leave. THANK GOD he left. e.e
